Pamela S. Gockley,  Founder

 

 

 

Selected as one of 50 Outstanding Business Women in Pennsylvania for 2004, Governor Rendell presented her award for her years of success in owning and operating Vigilant, as well as her many years of service to the community.   Pam maintains a wide range of business commitments from the Vigilant family of businesses to her active role as a leader in many business women's organizations, but also makes time for volunteer projects. She also received the 2005 Entrepreneurial Achievement Award from Kutztown University's Small Business Development Center.

 

Pam holds an AAS degree in Business Management from Reading Area Community College (RACC) and a BS degree in Political Science from Kutztown University.  In 2001 she graduated from the Sandler System Sales Training program. 

 

This native of Lancaster County, who has chosen to make Berks County her home since 1992. Since 1997, Pam has guided and directed Vigilant Internet Services Corp. from a two-person operation to a full-service employment corporation with diverse divisions.  Innovation is the hallmark of Pam's companies.  Her vision for the future of Vigilant is what has driven this business into the 21st century.   

 

 

Community Service:

 

Among Pam's many commitments to the community, she also assumes roles of leadership:

  • Founder and Co-Director of the Pennsylvania Women's Expo events
  • The Small Business Alliance:  Co-Founder and Past President
  • Berks Women's Network:  President 2005 & 2006 and Vice-President and chair of Public Relations Committee 2004-2003.  Also, co-host of bi-monthly television show on local public access channel.
  • Berks County Chamber of Commerce:  Active member of a variety of business committees and Paving The Way, a program for business women.
  • U. S. Women's Chamber of Commerce:  Member of steering committee developing a Berks County branch for Pennsylvania.
  • Helena Fecho Tulip Conference:  Steering committee and chair of the Marketing Committee.
  • American Business Women's Association, Berkshire Charter Chapter:  Woman of the Month award many times.
  • Girl Scouts, Woman of Distinction Award Committee
  • Major Corporate Sponsor for the AIDS quilt in Reading in 2000

 

Pam continues to expand the services of Vigilant Corporation, while contributing to the community.  She frequently is a guest speaker for corporations and non-profit organizations.
